The Vendor Experience UX team is dedicated to creating and maintaining the systems that drive collaboration between internal and external partners, empowering them to deliver the brands and products our guests love.

About The Job:

As a Lead Product Designer on the Vendor Experience team, you will join a community of kind and highly skilled UX designers, content designers, service designers, accessibility experts and UX researchers. You’ll benefit from robust onboarding, and personal and career development opportunities. In your day to day, you will partner closely with product, process, and engineering partners to develop new and emerging applications. You’ll craft UX strategy, drive and facilitate product discovery through testing and research, sketch concepts, define interaction and visual design with the support of our design system, and build prototypes. You’ll have access to internal users and vendor partners for remote research. You’ll balance innovation with thoughtful iteration to drive great outcomes for our team members, vendor partners, our guests, and our business.

On our Vendor Experience team, we are reinventing our vendor-facing tools by uniting multiple systems and capabilities within a single, scalable platform. We are seeking a Lead Product Designer to lead design for the vendor platform homepage, global components, and shared services. This role will partner closely with our design systems team and with other UXers in the vendor space in both the US and India to ensure consistency, clarity, and continuity. Additionally, you’ll partner with a peer counterpart in our India office. If you fall in love with complex problems and excel in systems thinking, this is the job for you! Critical responsibilities include:

  • Self-start to navigate a cross-functional team that is rapidly growing and evolving

  • Facilitate collaborative sessions to build alignment and engage peers and partners in the design process

  • Develop information architecture for the vendor platform using tree testing, card sorting, and taxonomy frameworks

  • Pair user research and desk research to identify common patterns and ensure scalability in shared services

  • Drive concepting, iteration, prototyping, and detailed design to explore and refine high quality experiences, while aligning peers, partners, leaders, and vendors to a shared vision

About You:

  • 5-7 years’ experience leading end to end design process, methods, and outputs using the skills listed above

  • Experience leading cross-functional partners and more junior designers through the work at the scale of an entire product or initiative

  • Proficiency in scalable interaction design for internal tools, including prototyping tools (i.e., in Figma) and working within a design system

  • Excellent visual design skills

  • Effectively use data and insights to set your direction and storytell your approach

  • Skilled at navigating a corporate hierarchy and building relationships to influence decisions

  • Exhibit a growth mindset, comfort finding direction within ambiguity and complexity

  • Demonstrate strong design hygiene, including a reliance on critique, rigorous ideation, clear communication, and evidence-based decision making

The application process will include a series of interviews as well as a portfolio review with three case studies that showcase your design process from beginning to end, giving examples of the various skills described in this job posting. Please include a link to your online portfolio (may be different from what you present) and any required passwords with your application.
