Role Overview

Join Promise as of first dedicated People Operations hire - taking the reins of existing / established HR policies and processes and growing towards oversight of strategic and operational execution of our people initiatives. In this pivotal role, you’ll continue our work to build on development and implementation of HR processes, policies, and programs that align with our mission and business objectives. You will work closely with leadership to ensure our talent strategies foster an inclusive and productive workplace. This role is crucial in enhancing employee engagement, improving organizational effectiveness, and maintaining a strong company culture.

What You'll Do

  • Take ownership of established HR processes and policies, identifying key gaps and bottlenecks that put company and employee growth at-risk.

  • Develop and execute HR strategies that support the company’s goals and promote a positive and inclusive culture.

  • Oversee the implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and efficiency.

  • Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and development.

  • Earn access as a trusted advisor to leadership on all people-related matters, providing insights and recommendations.

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, and offboarding processes.

  • Champion organizational culture and promote diversity, equity and inclusion. 

  • Reduce the administrative burden associated with tasks like legal compliance, employee relations, and other regulatory requirements.

What Will Enable You

  • At least 6 years of experience in a HR/People role with a strong track record of strategic and operational success.

  • A proven track record of owning and driving progress across complex / high volume HR processes including on/off-boarding, performance management, and leave / benefits management

  • Ability to establish a strategy for integrated HR tooling and implement change. 

  • Deep understanding of HR best practices and employment laws.

  • Leverage people analytics to anticipate opportunities and to help make data driven decisions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.

  • Ability to challenge conventional approaches and a willingness to build a unique approach.

  • A dedication to building a supportive and effective work environment for all employees.
