About the Role:

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a significant role in managing fraud and credit risks for our brand new lending products. You will act as a strategic partner responsible for delivering data models, insights, and analytics that impact the ability to understand credit and fraud risk drivers and shape our fraud and credit risk strategies.

You Will:

  • Conduct exploratory data analysis, create data models, and develop actionable insights to enable and support decision-making for business leaders.
  • Identify and leverage appropriate sources of data and contribute to the development of recommendations on credit and fraud risk strategies.
  • Determine appropriate analytical techniques and critically evaluate assumptions.
  • Share and simplify relevant findings and insights on credit and fraud risks and ensure presented results are accessible and accurate.
  • Build well-managed data solutions, tools, and capabilities to enable self-service frameworks for data consumers such as portfolio management dashboards for senior management to track portfolio/origination quality.
  • Build controls to monitor the effectiveness of the fraud mitigation process and work closely with the Core Fraud team to mitigate any fraud activity.
  • Monitor and analyze the credit risk of the existing lending portfolio.
  • Drive an understanding and adherence to the principles of data quality management including metadata, lineage, and business definitions.

  • Intermediate Python skills
  • Basic statistical skills

  • 5+ years of analytical experience with a bachelor's degree or
  • 2+ years of relevant analytical experience with a master's degree in quantitative fields like Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering etc.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $128,000-$160,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
