Job Description:

This job is responsible for the day-to-day resolution of complex problems and the research and execution of complex transactions for a single site/business unit or smaller business unit(s). Key responsibilities include strategically advising upon the design, development, and implementation of products, systems, and services using discretion within the project management methodologies.

Line of Business Job Description:

This is a position in the Accounting Operations team and will be responsible for handling accounting related responsibilities such as accounts reconciliation, journal entries posting and review, daily balancing, new accounts mapping setup etc. The accounting team supports daily accounting entries for Global Vendor Finance and Leasing Direct divisions (commercial, corporate, government etc.) utilizing several systems of record and posting in multiple currencies, so strong organization skills and attention to detail are a must. The successful candidate will also be involved in system conversion, audit support, risk compliance testing, ad hoc reporting and projects as they arise. 

Responsibilities:

  • Advises on the design, development, and implementation of complex products, systems, and services in an operations environment using discretionary judgment
  • Advises on projects and directs activities of a team related to special initiatives
  • Advises as a technical expert in assigned area, providing an understanding of the business unit's operations processes and implications on other groups within the operations function
  • Consults on present-state, develops alternative future-state approaches, and facilitates implementations by creating a clear and coherent approach to guide effective program/initiative setup, execution, and control
  • Identifies and recommends responsibilities and accountabilities for key programs/projects
  • Review General Ledger Reconciliations, approve Frontier etc.
  • Process GL accounts update and mapping
  • Prepare and review daily journal entries
  • Prepare FDIC reporting 
  • Prepare Global Leasing quarterly forecast for Operating Lease
  • Maintain Exchange Rate table for Global Vendor Finance
  • Prepare monthly accounting metrics
  • Research outstanding GL entries
  • Ability to communicate across and up the organization and must be able to work independently and is not afraid to make a decision and act on it

Required Qualifications:

  • Intermediate/advanced accounting knowledge & skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • Familiarity with report writing tools
  • Attention to detail
  • Logical research ability
  • Able to work independently
