Job Description Summary:

What You Need to Know About the Role:

As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for developing growth strategies and driving incremental revenue with PayPal’s largest back-book clients through cross-sell and upsell opportunities of PayPal solutions. You will need to deeply understand customer business needs and align them with the right PayPal solutions, driving new sales and growth. Success in this role requires you to forge close partnerships with the Customer Success Management team and multiple stakeholders across PayPal, ensuring that these partnerships are collaborative and successful.

Additionally, you must demonstrate the ability to develop strong relationships and credibility, enabling you to communicate the value of PayPal’s solutions and vision to C-level executives at some of the largest global merchants. Managing a superior pipeline, navigating internal and external product roadmaps, and influencing resource allocation are key factors in accelerating results. Your ultimate goal is to increase PayPal’s relevance with the most influential companies in the world

Meet Our Team:

The Account Executive team is an exciting and dynamic group within PayPal, providing a unique opportunity to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the business. As part of the UK Account Executive team, you will work with some of the UK’s most well-known brand names, many of which operate on a global scale. This role is highly collaborative, requiring close partnerships with the Customer Success Management team and internal product experts. You will engage directly with senior executives at these major merchants, building strong, strategic relationships and contributing to the success of PayPal's largest clients.

As an Account Executive, you will have a direct impact on PayPal’s growth by driving strategic revenue opportunities through cross-sell and upsell initiatives. You’ll influence product development by providing customer insights based on real-world challenges and competitor analysis. By successfully managing a robust sales pipeline and leveraging your ability to influence resources, you’ll deliver solutions that not only meet but exceed customer expectations. Your knowledge of complex technology solutions spanning mobile, e-commerce, point of sale, and transaction processing will be vital in positioning PayPal as a strategic partner to global merchants.

Your Day to Day

  • Develop and execute growth strategies to increase revenue through PayPal’s largest back-book clients.

  • Build strong relationships with C-level executives at major merchants to effectively communicate PayPal’s solutions and vision.

  • Drive new sales and growth by aligning customer needs with the appropriate PayPal solutions.

  • Partner closely with the Customer Success Management team and internal stakeholders to ensure collaborative success.

  • Manage a high-quality sales pipeline, navigating product roadmaps and influencing resource allocation to accelerate results.

  • Serve as a key voice for the customer, offering insights for product enhancements and market strategies.

What You Need to Bring

  • Experience within the payments industry is a key priority - however, you might be a candidate who can demonstrate a strong understanding of complex tech-driven solutions that span mobile, point of sale and transaction procession within similar industries like e-commerce, fintech and banking.

  • Proven experience building relationships with C-level executives and conveying the value of complex technology solutions.

  • Strong pipeline management skills with the ability to navigate product roadmaps and influence resource allocation.

  • A demonstrated ability to work as part of a wider team, collaborating across departments to achieve sales goals.
