Seneca Global Services, LLC is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer in Canberra, Australia. The objective of this work is to support a dynamic, cutting-edge DoD acquisition program in Canberra Australia. This position will serve as the cyber security subject matter expert for assigned projects and be the lead in directing, coordinating and reviewing complex test and evaluation efforts, as well as providing program specific technical advice. The ideal candidate for this role must be comfortable working in a transparent, collaborative team environment and possess outstanding communication, organizational, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensures that applications, services and infrastructure are designed, implemented and secured to the highest standards thus maintaining and enhancing trust.
  • Uses security tools like SEIM, IDS / IPS, Firewalls, Anti-APT to find gaps or weaknesses.
  • Quickly identifies security threats, vulnerabilities, and controls.
  • Develops complex cyber security engineering scenarios.
  • Executes tier I and II support operations in support of technical operations management.
  • Monitors and manages resource allocations, troubleshooting.
  • Conducts periodic review of content in order to update and delete outdated content.
  • Creates and manages standard formats/protocols within the platform content version backward compatibility in accordance with programs guidelines.
  • Develops content strategy aligned with program requirements.
  • Coordinates/interacts with IPT members to ensure stability and functionality.
  • Optimizes content according to program and cyber mission force standards.
  • Provides guidance to less experienced staff.
  • Assist the program development team with RCS maintenance and upgrades.
  • Assist with the development of Operations team SOPs and documentation
  • Leading or assisting in establishing & managing external connections to the program software/databases

Basic Requirements:

  • Active SECRET security clearance and be immediately eligible for nomination to receive TS/Special Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, IT, engineering, or other relevant field from an accredited college/university; 5-10 years of experience may be used as a substitute for education
  • 10+ years in IT, Cyber Security, and/or Engineering

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Security Engineering 
  • Cyber Security certifications a plus
