Job Summary

As a Tech Lead Python Backend it is expected that the ideal candidate understands a broad range of computer science concepts and their applicability. This person can dive deeply into a wide range of technical problems, offering suggestions and feedback to their team. 

Responsibilities and Duties

• Digest requirements from product team and work on solutions with performance and scalability features for cloud systems. 
  
• Development of new features. 
  
• Raise and discuss trade-offs of different design approaches by elaborating detailed design documents. 
  
• Participation in the complete cycle of development from requirements gathering, development, and testing. 
  
• Participation in technical discussions with customers. 
  
• Perform code reviews. 
  
• Drive team to innovate and deliver roadmap features with agility and high quality. 
  
• Conduct yourself as a trusted technical advisor. 
  
• Follow agile processes and participate actively in all development phases. 

Essential Skills 

• Proven proficiency with Web development in Python;
  
• Development of cloud-based large data applications (preferably in AWS);
  
• Design Patterns;
  
• Experience with modeling, producing and consuming web services-based APIs (RESTful);
  
• Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL);
  
• Experience with at least one of these frameworks; Fast Api or Flask or Django;
  
• Agile Development.
  
  

Highly Desirable Skills 

• Knowledge of or experience with agile development (e.g. using Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP, etc.);
  
• Knowledge of FastApi;
  
• Knowledge of Poetry;
  
• Knowledge of AWS infrastructure;
  
• Knowledge of automated testing in Python (e.g. Unit Test, Integration Test, etc.);
  
• Familiarity with principles of distributed systems;
  
• Experience designing High Availability/Scalable systems;
  
• Knowledge of Ecommerce systems, specifically on it’s data modeling.
