Role Summary:

Mach conducts tests and demonstrations with UAS platforms in various stages of development. This position will specialize in field testing and operating UAS. Responsibilities will include the development of field exercise plans, development of test and operations procedures, field operations execution, and pre-and-post operations reviews. Operations are conducted domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan flight test and demonstration operations

  • Create mission-specific designs to be implemented in the field

  • Execute flight operations alongside alongside other field operations team members

  • Perform post-manufacturing system checks prior to field operations

  • Perform hardware repairs and software revisions in the field

  • Report key engineering and business development findings

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or significant related experience

  • Holds a Part 107 UAS License

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in autonomous systems field operations

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in flight testing operations

  • Proficiency in C, C++, Python

  • Proficiency in mission planning software like QGroundControl and Mission Planner

  • Proficiency in Ardupilot or PX4

  • Experience in risk assessment and mitigation reporting

  • Experience in writing pre and post operations reports

  • Ability to travel internationally and domestically

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in multiple languages

  • Past overseas operational experience

  • Holds Private Pilot’s License or better

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offers may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and training, critical skills, and business considerations.
