NTU PACE plays a pivotal role in coordinating and uniting efforts across various internal departments and external partners to effectively promote NTU's postgraduate programmes by coursework (PGCs), as well as its lifelong learning initiatives. Beyond the PGCs offered by Schools, Colleges and Institutes, NTU PaCE collaborates with these entities to provide interdisciplinary Master of Science programmes, Graduate Certificate and FlexiMasters Certificate courses that can lead to a Master’s degree.

The Assistant Manager, Business Development, will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of PACE’s continuing education programmes, specifically focusing student immersion programme. He/She plays a pivotal role in driving the planning, execution, and growth of student immersion programmes designed mainly for international students. This position involves growing the business, developing and executing business development and sales activities, converting leads into enrolments, overseeing all aspects of managing clients, end-to-end process of programme planning, delivery and management, trainer’s coordination, maintaining strong relationships with prospective students and clients, and stakeholder engagement to ensure a seamless and enriching experience for students and partner institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage existing clients and expanding clientele pool.
• Respond to phone and email inquiries from prospective clients and students.  
• Meet up with clients (either online or in-person) to understand their requirements.
• Source for suitable trainers  
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to secure profitable contracts.
• Close deals and achieve or exceed sales targets.
• Collaborate with Operations Team to ensure smooth delivery of programmes and students’ learning journey and experience management.
• Collaborate with Marketing Team to publicise student immersion programme effectively.
• Propose and support business development and sales activities.
• Monitor industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to identify new opportunities and threats.
• Generate reports and compile data on business development activities, such as lead generation, sales pipeline status, and market trends.

Key Qualifications and Competencies:

• Degree from a recognised university with minimum 3 years of key account management
• Prior experience in the higher education sectors, continuing education, professional development, or MICE industry, understanding the unique challenges and opportunities in these fields
• Experience in managing the full lifecycle of educational or training programmes, from initial planning and marketing to execution and post-programme evaluation will be an added advantage
• Customer focus, with proven ability to develop strong working relationships with business partners and stakeholders
• Self-motivated and results-oriented team player with the ability to multi-task
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast pace working environment
• Strong proficiency in office software tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite -MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
