About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an Executive Director, Strategy and Execution.
This role will lead end‑to‑end strategy development and execution for the India & Philippines, while ensuring alignment with Enterprise priorities. Translate the strategy into actionable programs and partner with senior leadership across Businesses and Enterprise functions to deliver measurable outcomes
In this role, you will:
Manage and develop a team of Business Execution Consultants while ensuring successful planning, integration, impasse resolution, and measurement of operations with moderate to high complexity and visibility
Engage functional leaders to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict, and ensure alignment with Wells Fargo's policies and business line objectives
Identify potential risks when implementing change along with developing mitigation strategies and plans
Recommend opportunities for Business Execution process improvement
Determine appropriate strategies and actions of multiple business groups to meet moderate to high complex deliverables
Interpret procedures and processes, and provide leadership to strategize and execute a variety of programs, services, and initiatives that are significant in scope, complexity, and risk
Collaborate with and influence functional business partners, leaders, and executive management to provide support and drive strategic initiatives for the business
Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Business Execution
Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Develop strategy across People, Workforce, Real Estate, Operating
Model
Define clear goals, success metrics via OKRs/KPIs
Ensure alignment with global/enterprise priorities
Own end-to-end execution of strategic initiatives across businesses
and functions
Establish strong execution cadence (governance, reviews, dashboards,
escalation mechanisms)
Track progress against milestones, proactively flag risks, and drive
course correction
Work closely with Business Heads, Functional Leaders (Finance, HR,
Ops, Tech, Risk, etc.), and regional leaders.
Influence to drive alignment and outcomes across diverse teams
Prepare high-quality leadership updates, decision memos, and
executive reviews for the COO and leadership forums.
Revisit and establish frameworks necessary to drive the strategy and
execution
Lead governance meetings and ensure timely communication of risks,
milestones, and action plans
Ensure clear messaging and story-boarding in senior leadership
updates
Build and lead a small, high-performing strategy/execution team.
Coach team members on strategic thinking, structured problem-solving,
and execution discipline
Foster a high-performance culture in the team and across cross-
functional teams
Required Qualifications:
6+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
3+ years Management or leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
6+ years of total experience in strategy, business operations, transformation, or execution-focused leadership roles
Proven experience working in or closely with COO / CEO / CXO offices, strategy functions, or large-scale transformation programs
Prior experience driving cross-functional, multi-geography initiatives (India & Philippines exposure preferred)
Background may include top-tier consulting, in-house strategy, operations leadership, or transformation roles
Strong knowledge of Generative AI for converting enterprise strategies into structured transformation roadmaps, portfolios, and initiative plans
Strong strategic thinking with the ability to simplify complex problems
Exceptional execution rigor—ability to drive outcomes in ambiguous environments
Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills
High comfort operating with senior leaders and influencing decision-making
Strong analytical skills combined with business judgment
Ability to balance long-term strategy with short-term operational priorities
