The Senior Manager, Outbound Sales position will lead, develop and manage a sales team partnering with regions to grow rental revenue on small infrequent renters by driving customer engagement via text, email, and phone.

What you'll do:

  • Develop Outbound Sales Supervisors to coach and develop their teams of 10+ Outbound Sales Representatives to drive revenue growth on their respective books totaling $60M+

  • Create a culture of sales excellence

  • Seek out new, innovative, and persuasive selling techniques to continually to drive improved conversions rates yielding a higher year over year growth on the ~40 to 50 representatives books of business

  • Recruit, train and develop qualified sales professionals

  • Communicate job expectations and foster a collaborative climate

  • Ensure employees complete required compliance training including equipment safety, sales, and negotiation training

  • Guide Sales Representatives and Supervisors through utilizing and leveraging the Outbound Sales Playbook to successfully grow their skills and performance

  • Partner with Human Resources as necessary to drive performance

  • Drive and implement Corporate, Region and local District sales initiatives through coaching, influencing and mentoring sales team

  • Partner with corporate and field sales departments to maintain an understanding of the evolving market

  • Provide insight and guidance on best practices and tactics that maximize returns in an outbound call environment

  • Perform regular forecasting and executive report- outs around key sales metrics

  • Provide insight into team forecasts and customer trends to predict performance to plan

  • Leverage sales performance for coaching and development paths for supervisors and representatives

  • Partner with Region and District teams to ensure field execution has been completed and customers’ needs are satisfied

  • Implement, sustain, research and develop quality process improvements utilizing internal technology platforms and other industry tools

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated successful sales leadership and territory optimization a must

  • Knowledge of and prior experience with rental equipment preferred

  • Effective leadership, motivation, and organization skills

  • Sales management skills

  • Computer skills (Outlook, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SalesForce.com)

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to develop a strategic plan and convert into actionable results

  • Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on negotiating, collaborating and conflict resolution

  • Ability to set goals and establish performance standards

  • Strong analytical skills; metrics oriented

  • Ability to multi-task, plan and organize time

  • Ability to drive on company time and adhere to all company safety policies

  • Office environment with 25% field travel, typically to targeted areas
