Finance is a strategic partner to the business and plays an integrated role by providing insights that guide business decisions and support HP’s corporate goals.

In addition to traditional operations such as accounting, reporting, tax, audit and treasury, HP Finance leverages technology and data analytics to gather, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data. This data-driven approach allows for more accurate forecasting, risk assessment, and performance measurement, leading to better decision-making across the organization, positioning HP for long-term success and helping to accelerate growth. 

Responsibilities:

As a Business Financial Analyst, you will work with a team to:

  • Perform data extraction as well as diagnosis of financial drivers, and leverages analytics to make recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis for specific functions or business units, addressing financial business issues and providing valuable analytics to support key business initiatives.
  • Provide input for monthly review of expenses and capital for budgeting and forecasting process and analyzes variances with operational analytics and insight.
  • Interpret financial reports, including forecasts, budgets, income statements, balance sheets and cash flow documents.
  • Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the organization's financial processes and gains proficient knowledge of the company's operations and business.
  • Support business by closing the books, analyzing variances and trends, and developing financial forecasts that are consistent with the business objectives of the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with reporting standards and corporate policies and the integrity of external and internal reporting.
  • Apply foundational principles and contributes proactively to projects through research and data analysis support, providing regular updates on accomplishments and impediments.
  • Support priority projects with direction, maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders and sharing information via standardized reports.

Education and Experience Required (Objective Minimum Qualifications)

  • Have no more than 12 months of prior work experience professionally related to the Graduate Hire Requisition they are applying to, (not including internships, teaching assistance, research work, or military experience).
  • Will have completed at least your bachelor’s degree prior to your anticipated start date with HP.
  • Able to obtain work authorization in the United States without requiring sponsorship in the future.

Preferred Majors:

  • Preferred majors include (but are not limited to) Finance, Accounting, and Economics

Preferred Knowledge and Skills (Preferred Qualifications):  

  • Basic understanding of accounting processes.
  • Basic analytical skills.
  • Good business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Office suite).
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good teamwork skills.
  • Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

The base pay range for this role is $56,880 to $85,320 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only).  Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
