We are looking for a Project Manager, Supply Chain to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location.
Your Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will play a key role within the assigned business segment supporting customer deliverables. The individual in this position will develop and control schedule and budget on assigned projects with a technical supply chain oversight focus, as well as being designated as the point of contact for customer communications, meetings and questions. This position requires interaction with engineering, manufacturing, project management office, planning, quality assurance, contracts, and finance to address all project actions.

Your Challenge:
Technical project manager responsible for managing select key suppliers and responsible for the following:
Provides supplier technical oversight throughout manufacturing.
Gain a detailed understanding of assigned product lifecycle for assigned products.
Key point of contact relative to technical issues and deviations working with CW-EMD Supply Chain Management and Design Engineering to ensure resolution per procedure/specification.
Coordinate with CW-EMD and Customer engineering teams to resolve issues impacting schedule, quality, delivery, and cost.
Monitors supplier progress vs schedule to identify and manage inconsistencies.
Coordinates site visits at assigned vendors with Customer and CW-EMD Supplier Quality Engineer and Supply Management as required.
Leads targeted initiatives to reduce vendor lead times.

Efficiently and effectively work towards goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple constraints.
Lead assigned project team and regular project meetings to monitor and drive progress toward project objectives.
Maintain effective customer communications (internal and external), ensuring that all customer requirements and expectations are addressed effectively.
Address and resolve project issues pertaining to project work scope, technical requirements, quality, schedule, resource assignments, cost customer interface and other project related activities.
Communicate project progress, issues, and/or resolution options to project team members’ customers and EMD management.
Review and control project cost, including the coordination and certification of Estimate at Complete dates.
Develop and monitor the Project Risk Management Plan as part of project planning and execution.
Interact with Sourcing and suppliers to plan for and secure the materials needed for the project and future production.
What You Bring:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent with appropriate course complete to support a project management team. Five (5) to seven years of related experience.
Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAS, etc.).
Experience with Microsoft Project.
Experience with medium to large machining, fabrication welding, and assembly.
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and techniques (5-whys, cause mapping, PFMEA, 8D, etc.)
Must be sole US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
Qualifications/Certifications:
Project management or project leadership experience PMP (preferred).
Excellent organization, communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.
Project Management Professional Certification (preferred)
Lean manufacturing
Greenbelt/Blackbelt (preferred)
Travel:
50-75% (Monthly)
