RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists with technical support and training to staff, faculty and students in the digital print lab and dry-mounting area
  • Monitors and performs scheduled calibration of printers and computer monitors
  • Monitors printing paper supplies, ink and mounting tissue inventories and notifies the Coordinator of Digital Imaging when supplies are low is necessary.
  • Changes ink cartridges, maintenance tanks, and loads roll paper on all printers in the Digital Print Lab
  • Assists with general maintenance, troubleshooting & cleaning of equipment in the Digital Print Lab and Mount Area
  • Assists with specialty printing for student shows, the School of Visual and Performing Arts, the Art Center and other College Departments and Schools on Campus
  • Does data entry for student refunds in the Digital Print Lab
  • Assists with check in and out of equipment in the Photography Studio
  • Assists with specialty photography sessions for students, the School of Visual and Performing Arts and the Art Center
  • Performs other duties as required to meet the needs of the School of Visual and Performing Arts and the College.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate degree preferred in photography or graphic design or equivalent experience    
  • Experience in a digital print lab and photography studio preferred
  • Experience with Adobe CC suite of applications (Lightroom, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat) as well as Microsoft Office
  • Experience working with both Epson and HP Printers on both PC and Mac platforms preferred
  • Experience with printer profiling, icc workflows, and color management preferred
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with faculty, students and staff
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds
  • Ability to work five shifts Monday through Friday between 9 and 3 pm
