Job Summary:

• The Corporate Financial Accountant role is part of the Corporate Accounting function at gategroup. The role is responsible for the management of the corporate financial accounting activities on monthly basis, mainly General Ledger, VAT and Intercompany transactions.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• General ledger accounting for specific entities;

• Account payable and receivable for intercompany invoices;

• Perform quality analysis and follow up, provide recommendations and actions to be taken to anticipate the closing activities and keep the process documentation at the highest standards;

• Review on weekly basis 3rd party invoices for Tax code, Cost-Center and GL accounts input;

• Support Corporate Finance activities to provide high level data understanding and reconciliation;

• Provide support for ad-hoc projects, reconciliation tools with SAP to run process faster and efficiently;

• Perform other duties as assigned. The duties and responsibilities listed above are; representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive

• Promote teamwork by backing up other team members as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Accounting qualification and / or degree

• Alternatively a relevant apprenticeship (Kaufmännische Ausbildung (e.g. Industriekauffrau/ -mann, Bürokauffrau/ -mann) or a Betriebswirtschaftliches Studium)

Work Experience:

• At least 5 years professional experience in accounting

• Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP

• Suppliers and Customers accounts experience

Technical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Experience of HFM and SAP would be an advantage

Language / Communication Skills:

• Fluent in English with German a significant advantage

• Efficient communication and presentation skills

• Ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously.

• Ability to demonstrate business drive with focus on delivering results.

• A high level of personal flexibility.
