The role

As the Production Manager at our Youfoodz production facility in Karawatha, you will play a key role in leading a high-performance team to deliver exceptional manufacturing outcomes. You’ll champion safety, quality, and operational efficiency in line with our HelloFresh Group values, which prioritize continuous improvement and operational excellence. This role will have a direct impact on the growth and innovation of our production capabilities, bringing Youfoodz and HelloFresh's quality standards to life.

What you’ll do

• Lead and manage the production team to achieve daily targets across our 24/7 operations, ensuring compliance with food safety, GMP, and WH&S standards.
• Implement manufacturing improvement plans to enhance productivity and line efficiency, actively working on the factory floor to optimize processes.
• Mentor and coach team members to foster a positive, engaged, and high-performance culture that aligns with Youfoodz and HelloFresh values.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to communicate and execute site-specific improvement initiatives and drive sustainable operational efficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental standards, taking a proactive approach to problem-solving and team engagement.

What you’ll bring

• At least five years of experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef, with three years in manufacturing and one year supervising large teams.
• In-depth understanding of food safety practices, HACCP, and WH&S principles, with experience in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate teams.
• Analytical and problem-solving ability, with resilience and flexibility in a dynamic production setting.
• A background in FMCG or experience with lean manufacturing is a plus.
