Job Purpose
The Business Intelligence Analyst collects, interprets, and analyzes data to provide reports, key performance metrics, and actionable insights that drive informed business decisions. This role will support data analysis and business intelligence services that include, but not limited to, performance analysis, pricing analysis, cost analysis, and wage analysis.
Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with business units and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate needs into data requirements
- Identify, collect, clean, and analyze relevant data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and insights
- Use statistical techniques to extract meaningful insights such as trends, patterns, and anomalies from complex datasets
- Translate data findings into clear and concise reports
- Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPIs using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel)
- Build and maintain data models to support forecasting and scenario analysis
- Support data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and security initiatives and processes
- Support data governance practices and data dictionary maintenance
- Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in cross-functional projects related to data, analysis, reporting, or other needs
- Present data-driven insights to stakeholders and management
- Collaborate with data engineers to optimize queries, data pipelines and retrieval for efficiency
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to address specific business questions
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices
- Conduct or participate in special projects or other duties as assigned

Preferred Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field preferred
- Proven working experience as a Data Analyst
- Experience in working with large datasets and providing meaningful analysis
Preferred Computer Equipment and Software Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, expert in Excel
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel)
- Knowledge of SQL and Database structure
