We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Mechanical Engineer with expertise in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to join our Sugar Land, TX team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing fluid systems and components using CFD techniques. This role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering, fluid dynamics, and CFD software.

What You Will D:

  • Design and analyze fluid systems and components using CFD simulations to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement CFD models to simulate fluid flow, heat transfer, and other related phenomena.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of CFD results and provide recommendations for design improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and testing, to ensure successful implementation of CFD solutions.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in CFD technology and methodologies to continuously improve simulation accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on CFD.
  • Proficiency in CFD software such as ANSYS Fluent, Sim Scale, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics.
  • Experience with CAD software and the ability to create and modify 3D models for CFD analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the oil and gas industry or related fields.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or MATLAB for automating CFD simulations and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with experimental fluid dynamics and validation techniques.
