This position is within the Collections Risk Policy Team that is part of the Citi Retail Services Risk Management team.The Collections and Recovery Risk team’s mission is to help customers bring their accounts current or fairly resolve their debt. The Collections Policy team owns Policy and Strategy, and partners closely with the Operations and Technology teams on implementation and execution. The candidate will support Collections Strategy and Analytics across all of the Retail Services Cards portfolios. The candidate must be a strong analytical thought leader with excellent communication skills.

The Risk Policy Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Responsibilities:

  • Help manage the US Cards Collections policy, ensuring compliance to Citi Global Risk policies and Legal Regulations
  • Hypothesis development, analysis, test design, test vs control analysis, development of recommendation and oversight of implementation and execution are key focus areas.
  • Use sophisticated analytical techniques to analyze and develop customer risk strategies and segmentation schemes, profiling of segments as well as reporting and tracking (MIS) of performance.
  • Represent risk management through the development life cycle of a new strategy or policy.
  • Build robust inventory of internal and external data sources to enhance policy development and advanced analytical capabilities in the Collections space.
  • Make significant contributions in the development of analytical tools used in the assessment of collections risk and policy.

    Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years experience in Statistics/Analytics/Decision Management will be desirable
  • Maintain effective negotiation skills, a proactive and 'no surprises' approach in communicating Risk issues, strength in sustaining autonomous views
  • Management Capability
  • Able to make decisions on matters pertaining to aspects of risk, especially on credit risk
  • Able to identify and influence key decision makers across various levels and functions within the organization
  • Able to work in a rapidly changing external environment and support business in a highly competitive and challenging market
  • Experience in Statistics/Analytics/Decision Management will be desirable.
  • Able to make decisions in high risk scenarios, appropriately assessing a situation based on available data, experience, intuition, and judgment
  • Able to work across levels in risk management and also with other operations and business teams• Excellent Presentation skills – adept at presenting effectively to audiences of various sizes and adapting style as necessary


    Education:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline: Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research, Statistics
  • Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline preferred

Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills in conducting sophisticated analysis using customer performance data, bureau data, and marketing data to solve business problems.
  • Excellent programming skills in advanced SAS and SQL
  • Experience in advanced analytics utilizing Python / R in a Big Data environment preferred.
  • Highly proficient in Excel/pivot tables and PowerPoint.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$96,400.00 - $144,600.00
