Job Title: IAM Engineer

Job Description: The IAM Engineer at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Milwaukee, WI will troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with a focus on system improvement and automation. Design, conduct impact analysis, and create work effort estimates for new features and fixes. Handle complex issues independently and partner with higher level staff. Work with Identity and Access Management technologies and tools, including Authentication and Access techniques. Utilize working knowledge of engineering best practices such as analyzing, designing, developing, deploying, and supporting software solutions, and infrastructure implementations and upgrades. Utilize Active Directory, Azure Application Registration, Azure Active Directory Connect, Multi-factor Authentication, and Azure Conditional Access Policies. Work with domains including SSO/Federation, Azure, AWS, and Privileged Access Management. Explain technical solutions to technical teams and non-technical teams. Utilize documentation, testing and automation skills. Execute strong problem-solving skills with supporting documentation, testing, and automation skills. Work with scripting and programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, Ruby, Go, PowerShell, Bash, C#, and C/C++. Align with relevant security practices. Support technical needs to business processes and prioritize work based on business objectives. Work within Agile methodologies and DevOps environment. Telecommuting permitted 2 days per week. Salary $70,304- $139,100 per year.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2 years of experience as an IAM Engineer, Technology Analyst or a related occupation. Experience must include 2 years with each of the following: (1) Active Directory, Azure Application Registration, Azure Active Directory Connect, Multi-factor Authentication, and Azure Conditional Access Policies; (2) analyzing, designing, developing, deploying, and supporting identity software solutions and infrastructure implementations and upgrades; (3) SSO/Federation, Azure, AWS, and Privileged Access Management; and (4) Python, JavaScript, Java, Ruby, Go, Powershell, Bash, C#, or C/C++.
