We are seeking a Sr Advisor, Energy Solutions who will be responsible for delivering Enbridge’s Energy Conservation programs directly to customers and affiliated business partners. The Sr Advisor will be accountable to meet or exceed assigned energy conservation results.

Please note this position can be filled at either the Advisor or Sr Advisor level.

What you will do:

  • Meet or exceed assigned Commercial and/or Affordable Housing sales targets in support of DSM Revenue target achievement.

  • Work independently to find/deliver technical solutions and complete custom energy efficiency calculations for assigned accounts.

  • Provide technical guidance/mentorship to Energy Solutions Advisors (ESAs) and Senior Analyst, Account Managers, in the Energy Conservation Commercial Sales team.

  • Accountable to lead internal cross-functional partner, special projects & initiatives in support of the Commercial program strategies and delivery objectives.

  • Establish and build operational and technical relationships with customers, at all levels in the organization, aimed at building long-term trust and dedication from the customer to achieve natural gas usage reduction targets.

  • Establish alliances with business partners (i.e., contractors, equipment suppliers, manufacturers, engineering consultants etc.) to facilitate the development and implementation of energy efficiency projects.

  • Develop, update, and implement annual account plans for assigned territory, customers, and business partners.

  • Effective use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools (i.e., Guardian, Miller Heiman) to detail customer interactions, manage active leads/projects, and support all aspects of DSM audit and evaluation initiatives (i.e., project verification).

  • Proactive outreach to assigned accounts and ability to conduct site walk-throughs to assist customers with the identification, business screening, and technical evaluation of potential energy conservation opportunities.

Who You Are:

Required:

  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related.

  • 7+ years’ experience in energy management, commercial HVAC design, technical sales, and/or B2B sales.

  • Experience with energy management, demand side management, and sustainability principles.

  • Exceptional understanding of commercial HVAC systems and design.

  • Strong technical and analytical proficiency.

  • Proven skills in leading and influencing without explicit authority.

  • Proven time management skills and ability to coordinate multiple projects while managing personal time.

  • Confident presenter and public speaker.

  • Strong relationship-building, problem-solving skills, and negotiation skills.

  • Valid driver’s license with a responsible driving record.

Preferred:

  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM).

  • Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP).

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment, light physical effort, normal visual/sensory effort.

  • Regular visits to customer facilities and job sites to assess energy efficiency opportunities on weekly basis.

  • Travel, including overnight, mainly within Ontario, is required.
