Job Description:
This position contributes to the Company’s success by developing and expanding relationships with key customers through personalized patient access support. The Regional Access Manager (RAM) will contribute significantly to the success of Veloxis by leveraging approved Company resources to maximize prescriber confidence and prescription outcomes at target accounts. The RAM will have specialized experience in addressing and removing patient access barriers in order to deliver the Company’s value proposition within all areas of its commercial business strategy.
Territory coverage for this position will include the Houston area of Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. Candidates must live within the territory, near a major airport.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Oversees a successful patient journey and the critical market access elements that may disrupt the prescription process.
- Identifies and addresses access barriers to the appropriate integration of the Company’s portfolio with prescribers, formularies, and accounts (including protocols).
- Provide coding & coverage education (pay mix and localized access) along with patient support solutions.
- Identifies access issues (e.g., protocols/pathways, payer reimbursement, patient support) that impact the patient journey and delivers educational solutions to improve patient accessibility.
- Builds productive, professional relationships with customers in targeted accounts assigned by the Sr. Director, Field Access and Patient Support (in collaboration with Regional Sales Directors (RSDs)) to address market access issues.
- Proactively assesses customers’ needs on an on-going basis, and designs strategies to meet those needs effectively and efficiently.
- Acts as a market access resource for Transplant Account Managers (TAMs). Aligns with TAMs and RSDs in their respective areas, and the Sr. Director, Field Access and Patient Support to problem-solve, ensure transplant center customer satisfaction and resolution.
- Acts as subject matter expert on all areas of pricing, payer mix, patient support programs, including, but not limited to, HUBs, co-pay programs, prior authorization tools, payer access educational tools, and clinical information to create value for their respective areas.
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop a cross-functional customer-focused account plan.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- BS/BA from an accredited institution; MBA, a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in patient access and support, market access, or sales (transplantation, nephrology, or immunology experience preferred)
- Comprehensive understanding of the payer environment including full payer mix, Part B and Part D coverage dynamics (pharmacy and medical benefit products)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; communicates in a respectful tone and manner.
- Demonstrated ability to align with cross-functional teams to provide solutions to customers’ needs and to create or expand opportunities.
- Extensive problem-solving abilities and proven track record of building strong stakeholder relationships.
- Experienced in presenting Company’s product(s) to healthcare practitioners.
- Ability to lead without authority on projects and regional area objectives.
- Promotes cooperation and communication with other departments.
- Stays abreast of business, industry, and market information that may reveal business opportunities.
- Responds to customers’ needs through planned and personalized communication in order to support the customer and ensure satisfaction.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and Adobe Pro.
