The Machine Learning Scientist is at the forefront of DISCO’s machine learning and AI research efforts, contributing to the development and enhancement of machine learning algorithms. What You'll Do

  • Algorithm Development and Implementation: Designs, develops, and optimizes machine learning algorithms for various applications. Implements and tests algorithms to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability
  • Data Analysis and Literature Review: Conducts comprehensive data analysis to derive insights and inform research projects. Stays updated with the latest literature in machine learning and related fields.
  • Collaboration and Interdisciplinary Work: Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning solutions into projects. Contributes machine learning expertise to interdisciplinary research initiatives 
  • Innovation and Strategy: Contributes innovative ideas to enhance research projects and methodologies. Participates in strategic discussions related to research planning. 
  • Industry Impact: Contributes to the application of machine learning research to address real-world industry challenges

Who You Are

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field 
  • 2 to 4+ years of relevant experience in machine learning research.
  • Demonstrated experience in algorithm development and implementation.
  • Mastery in designing and implementing complex machine learning algorithms.
  • Demonstrated expertise in optimizing algorithms for efficiency and scalability. 
  • Profound understanding and proficiency in data analysis, including the ability to identify patterns and extract meaningful insights from large and diverse datasets. 
  • Track record of conducting high-quality research leading to publications in reputable conferences or journals. 
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, contributing machine learning expertise to interdisciplinary projects. 
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to design robust research methodologies. 
  • Proven capability to innovate in the development of novel algorithms, methodologies, or applications.
