What you will do

In this vital role you will be responsible for architecting, designing, and implementation of E2E SAP Clinical supply chain solutions across Amgen manufacturing and distribution sites. This role focuses on using SAP technologies to streamline and enhance Clinical Planning, Manufacturing and Distribution processes, ensuring alignment with business needs and industry standard processes. As an SAP Solution architect, you will work closely with operations IT and business key customers to gather requirements, design, and configure solutions, and provide post-implementation support. This position requires deep expertise in SAP MM, SD, PP and QM modules with a solid understanding of distribution and logistics execution functions.
Design, configuration and optimization of Clinical Supply Chain (Material management, Direct Procurement, Sub-contracting, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales and distribution and warehouse management) process in SAP S/4
Accountable for assessing Clinical Trial Operations requirements fitment into standard SAP offerings and proposing technical solutions to accommodate the rapid advancement of Amgen’s Clinical pipeline
Ensure seamless integration between SAP S/4 modules MM, FI, PP, TM, ATTP, GTS, EAS, Ariba, and EWM) as well as non-SAP systems for planning, quality and manufacturing (Example - MES, IRT, IVRS and Anaplan)
Collaborate with other functional solution architects to ensure end-to-end solution is designed and implemented.
Conduct architectural reviews and assessments to identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies
Create and maintain critical documentation such as functional designs, test cases, and user manuals. Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards and regulations.
Participate in ERP implementation projects, including blueprinting, gap analysis, testing, release, and post-production support.
Develop innovative solutions that drive speed to value via AI/ML and leading control practices
What we expect of you
Basic Qualifications:
Master’s degree with 4 – 6 years of SAP implementation experience in SAP MM, SD, PP-PI and QM modules OR,
Bachelor’s degree with 6 - 8 years of SAP implementation experience in SAP MM, SD, PP-PI and QM modules OR,
Diploma with 10 - 12 years of SAP implementation experience in SAP MM, SD, PP-PI and QM modules OR,
Strong hands-on experience configuring and customizing SAP S/4 MM, PP, QM, SD and EWM processes
Good understanding of Clinical supply chain processes in a Biologics/Pharma environment
Ability to design and implement solutions based on business requirements, including debugging and root cause analysis.
Good understanding of SAP Fiori, ABAP and BTP technologies
Experience in creating detailed documentation, including functional specifications, test cases, and compliance reports.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of SAP S/4 Inbound logistics and warehouse management process, Transportation management.
Experience with integrating SAP with Ariba supplier collaboration, IBP or Kinaxis supply and demand planning system.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies for software delivery and process improvement.
Professional Certifications:
SAP Certified Application Associate in SAP S/4 Hana Production planning and Manufacturing or Sales and Distribution
Agile Certified Practitioner (preferred)

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Superb communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively with multi-functional teams and key customers.
Diligent with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
