Job Description

Summary

The VP of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) will play a critical role in driving the financial strategy and performance of CSI Pharmacy. The VP of FP&A will lead a team of financial analysts and collaborate closely with senior leadership to provide insightful analysis and strategic recommendations that support our growth objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis.    

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and execute the financial planning and analysis strategy aligned with company goals.
    • Partner with senior management to provide insights on financial performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Financial Modeling & Forecasting:
    • Oversee the development of financial models to support strategic decision-making and capital allocation.
    • Lead the annual budgeting process and regular forecasting efforts to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Performance Analysis:
    • Analyze financial results and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior leadership and the board of directors.
  • Team Management:
    • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing FP&A team.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovative thinking and problem-solving.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with various departments to support operational and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
    • Provide financial insights during key business decisions, including M&A activities, capital investments, and operational changes.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in financial planning and analysis.

  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to effectively communicate with other internal departments at all levels within an organization.
  • Ability to educate and lead a team of analysts to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to interpret and communicate operational results to management.
  • Ability to recognize changes within the organization, analyze the impact of these changes and communicate risks and recommend opportunities for the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with a problem-solving and customer service attitude.
  • Strong computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and various software applications.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration required or equivalent experience.
  • Healthcare experience preferred, pharmacy experience a plus.
  • 10+ years progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • MBA or CPA preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must have and maintain in good standing professional license, certificate, or registration, as applicable.
