The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for overseeing and managing financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities.  Involves evaluating financial performance, forecasting future financial trends, and making recommendations to senior management to support business strategy and decision-making.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following):

  • Prepare and maintain detailed financial models and forecasts.
  • Analyze variances between actual and budgeted performance, providing actionable insights to improve financial outcomes.
  • Develop long-term financial projections and assist in strategic planning.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Provide regular financial reporting to senior management, stakeholders, or investors, summarizing financial performance.
  • Coordinate and manage the annual budgeting process.
  • Assist department heads in creating departmental budgets and ensure alignment with the company’s financial goals.
  • Use historical data and financial trends to predict future financial performance.
  • Leverage financial software and tools to generate reports, forecast cash flows, and conduct variance analysis.
  • Analyze M&A opportunities by assisting in financial diligence and model forecasts of such opportunities
  • Collaborate with different departments (e.g., marketing, operations, sales) to understand their financial needs and provide financial advice and support.
  • Provide strategic financial input to leadership and other teams to help guide decision-making.
  • Assess financial risks, such as market fluctuations or cost inefficiencies, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial reporting and analysis processes.
  • Implement best practices in financial management to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure financial activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Support audits and ensure proper documentation for financial transactions.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

(To perform the job successfully, the candidate should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this job.)

  • Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with financial analysis software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, or other ERP systems).
  • Knowledge of financial reporting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
  • Strong ability to analyze large datasets and provide strategic insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis or related roles, with a track record of working with senior leadership.

The expected salary range for this position is between:

$102,300.00 - $133,900.00

The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
