Summary:

Manages the day-to-day activities for volunteers.

Responsibilities:

Manages the pre-boarding, orientation, and onboarding activities including scheduling interviews, interviewing, hiring, gathering information about each volunteer’s skills, availability and goals; matches volunteers with appropriate opportunities, etc.Conducts ongoing evaluation of the programs and services delivered by volunteers and implements improvements.Coordinates volunteer reward and recognition events and activities.Recruits volunteer staff using a variety of resources and techniques (including representing the organization at community events, developing partnerships with community organizations, high schools, colleges/universities, etc.).Regularly communicates and rounds with volunteers to ensure placement is a good fit for individual’s skill sets and goals. Ensures the volunteers are actively volunteering; handles complaints or concerns from or about volunteers.Manages the schedules; coordinates and assigns volunteers to appropriate departments.In partnership with facility leadership, identifies available opportunities and needs for volunteers.Maintains files, records, applications, and other data concerning volunteer program (including onboarding and off-boarding of volunteers, flu shot compliance, records for service hours request, volunteer reporter, meal passes, etc.).

Other Information: Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
