ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Senior Lead DevOps Engineer will be responsible for managing and advancing our DevOps practices, focusing on optimizing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and ensuring robust and scalable automation solutions. This role requires deep technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to drive strategic initiatives across teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Architecture & Design: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure solutions. Provide technical leadership in developing infrastructure strategies and DevOps practices. 

  • CI/CD Optimization: Architect and enhance CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable build, test, and deployment processes. Implement best practices to streamline and automate workflows. 

  • Automation & Infrastructure-as-Code: Develop and manage infrastructure-as-code solutions using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. Automate deployment and operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. 

  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee and manage both cloud and on-premises infrastructure. Ensure systems are configured for high availability, performance, and scalability across various environments. 

  • Monitoring & Performance Tuning: Implement and manage comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions. Analyze performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and optimize system performance for both cloud and on-premises infrastructure. 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with development, operations, and IT teams to integrate DevOps practices and tools. Provide technical guidance and support to other teams and stakeholders. 

  • Leadership & Mentoring: Mentor and support junior engineers and team members. Provide guidance on best practices, troubleshooting, and professional development. 

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance DevOps workflows. Develop and enforce best practices for deployment, configuration management, and operations. 

  • Security & Compliance: Ensure that infrastructure solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements. Implement security controls and practices to protect data and applications. 

  • Project Management: Lead or contribute to major DevOps projects, including planning, execution, and delivery. Manage project timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations. 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Experience: 8+ years of experience in DevOps or a related field, with a proven track record of managing complex infrastructure environments and implementing DevOps practices. 

 

Technical Skills: 
 

  • Infrastructure Management: Extensive experience with managing both cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on-premises infrastructure. 

  • CI/CD Tools: Advanced knowledge of CI/CD tools and technologies (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI). 

  • Automation & Scripting: Proficiency with automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash). 

  • Containers & Orchestration: Expertise in containerization (e.g., Docker) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes). 

  • Monitoring & Logging: Strong experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack). 

  • Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges and provide effective solutions. 

  • Leadership: Proven leadership abilities, including mentoring and guiding team members, and leading technical initiatives. 

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

  • Project Management: Experience managing and leading technical projects, including planning, execution, and stakeholder management. 

  • Security Awareness: Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements in both cloud and on-premises environments.
