The Securities & Derivative Analyst 1 is an entry level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to assist in the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Listed Derivatives Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in China Traded Derivatives Markets and possess knowledge of Clearing products across all aspects of the trade lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Clearing Operations: Manage clearing processes, including trade capture/trade loads, margins, reconciliations, expiry management and settlement.
  • Complete settlement tasks accurately and on time.
  • System Expertise: Utilize key industry systems to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
  • Ad-hoc regulator UAT testing on weekend.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual touch points.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including traders, CCPs, and clients, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Reporting: Prepare and analyze operational reports, providing insights and recommendations to manager.
  • Coordinate processing issues to appropriate department and collaborate on solution
  • Perform regulatory controls, CCPs/Client Money/Bank Account reconciliations, and record retention activities in accordance with established policies.
  • Prepare and submit periodic internal and external regulatory reports
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:

  • China Futures License
  • 1- 2 experiences
  • Chinese and English proficiency
  • Fundamental understanding of listed futures derivatives products, accounting and regulatory policies
  • Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills


Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting or Finance
