We are looking for an Operations Specialist who will ensure Liquids Pipelines (LP) Operations across Canada and the United States obtain the necessary financial resources required to achieve the primary strategic objective to operate safely and reliably while maximizing Asset Performance. What You Will Do:

  • Apply operational understanding and risk management, prioritization principles towards financial long-range planning, budgeting and forecasting aspects for Liquids Pipelines Operations across North America.
  • Report risk impacts and fiscal progress to LP Operations Executive and Senior Management quarterly (or as requested).
  • During periods of fiscal pressure coordinate necessary adjustments based on operational understanding, risk prioritization and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and implement improvements to fiscal processes required for successful capital and operating budget execution for Liquids Pipelines Operations.
  • Promote consistency of cross-regional Liquids Pipelines Operations practices and facilitate communication and use of best practices through a Regional Accountant support program.
  • Coordinate, develop and report on budget for cost centers under the VP Engineering & Asset Management
  • Complete capital project controls functions for Operations Allowance.

Who You Are:

  • A university degree in a related financial subject area (accounting or finance) with 6+ years of progressive experience within a financial environment.
  • Extensive experience with Financial Reporting & Extraction Tools (PowerBi, Smartview)
  • Possess the ability to interpret and understand operational issues within Enbridge’s risk management framework and recommend direction.
  • Strong oral, written, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be customer-focused, deadline driven, and can prioritize workloads.
  • Field Operations experience is an asset.

Physical Requirements:

Include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement. Mobility to walk in outdoor conditions that occasionally involve uneven and slippery terrain and to enter and exit excavations. Agility with the ability to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and other devices using feet and legs, and/or hands and arms.
