Sr Director, Business Operations– eComm Site Merchandising

Want to help lead the way in redefining how we shop online? The eCommerce Sr Director, Business Operations is a critical leader in enhancing our overall operating model, annual planning process, strategic initiatives, and tech partnerships, focusing on building a world class operating model, setting our team up for success and creating incredible customer experiences.  This person will be responsible for setting the bar for operational excellence, helping to grow our eCommerce business, by developing and driving key strategic initiatives; shaping our Product Roadmap; building out robust process and KPIs; and identifying scalable best practices and site optimization efforts. They’ll drive impact, improvement, and innovation to create a truly frictionless online shopping experience and help our eCommerce business.

You’ll make an impact by: 

  • Creating an exemplary site experience– You’ll help define the holistic site strategy and operational performance for all categories and play a key role in enhancing the customer journey on our site to win customers’ hearts and minds.  
  • Structuring complex and ambiguous strategic problems – You’ll continuously analyze our eCommerce business and develop best-in-class site strategies to improve the end-to-end customer journey, driving innovation and growth. You’ll develop hypotheses and execute in-depth analyses, translating data into actionable insights and recommendations, to inform our overall market position and identify site priorities.   
  • Monitoring site health and performance through analytics and key metrics – You’ll lead internal business reviews and oversee the development of dashboards to monitor program health, providing strategic insights to internal stakeholders to influence the overall direction for the site. You’ll also identify and escalate key site issues and conduct root cause analyses to recommend and implement fixes. 
  • Operating with excellence – You’ll land the fundamentals and create and help scale workflows, processes, and timelines, embedding operational excellence into everything you do and developing associates on the team to increase capabilities and enhance skills, knowledge, and performance.   
  • Becoming an invaluable strategic partner to internal stakeholders – You’ll advise on and partner with various internal teams to improve processes, identify opportunities, and scale best practice and governance, driving continual assessment and improvement of the site’s strategic direction and execution. 

Minimum Qualification:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience in Business or related field 

Preferred Qualification:  

  • 10+ years related experience in Management Consulting, Business Operations, Product Management, Site Merchandising, or related field 
  • Master’s degree in business or related field 
  • 6+ years of experience in consumer-focused e-commerce environment 
  • 6+ years demonstrated experience managing a team. 
  • Strong customer obsession focused on building the right site experience for our customer. 
  • Ability to drive large-scale projects to define process and ways of working through multiple functions and teams. 
  • Self-starter with analytical skills, able to identify problems and/or opportunities for improvement, assesses viable solutions, and develops and executes complex projects and comprehensive action plans.  
  • Conveys a sense of urgency in ways that motivate others to complete responsibilities and achieve goals. 
  • Uses relevant business metrics, analyses, and reports to measure, monitor, and improve performance. Identifies and applies sound, fact-based criteria in setting priorities and making decisions. 
  • Highly organized and self-motivated with distinctive problem-solving capabilities  
  • Demonstrates creativity and strength in the face of change, obstacles, or adversity. Adapts to competing demands and shifting priorities. Updates knowledge and skills to handle new complexities, challenges, and responsibilities. 
  • Equally comfortable devising strategic initiatives and operationalizing tactical projects  
  • Willing both to get your hands dirty and to liaise indirectly with teams.  
  • Aware of what needs doing and keen to make it happen, however big or small.  
  • Ability to manage and influence direct and indirect reports.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00
