We are looking for an OpenShift Virtualization Architect to join our team based across EMEA. As an OpenShift Virtualization Architect you are part of an EMEA wide team that focuses on the positioning, scoping and delivery of engagements that help our customers to move their virtualized infrastructure to a modern platform, reducing lock-in and cost. You will be the subject matter expert on OpenShift and OpenShift Virtualization and are capable of understanding the customer's business, infrastructure and other requirements for their application workloads and translating these requirements into solutions using Red Hat technology. While you work closely with your in-country colleagues your direct team is EMEA based. Based on the business need the specific virtualization focus can change over time.

This role will include travel to customer locations locally and if required throughout EMEA. We are aiming to complement our team with applications from across EMEA, with a preference for countries with a substantial set of potential customers. Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business.

What you will do:

  • Deliver Discovery, analysis and technical design workshops for teams of both technical and non-technical backgrounds, focused on successful customer outcomes with the latest Red Hat Virtualization solutions;

  • Reliably guide customers through design, pilot and production deployments of our virtualization solutions, creating an excellent customer experience;

  • Work closely with internal product teams, Presales, Global Support, Sales and our partner ecosystem  to ensure a world-class customer experience with Red Hat solutions;

  • Support the Red Hat country consulting teams in EMEA with superior OpenShift Virtualization modernization expertise;

  • Help with the design, creation, and delivery of content that will enable us to sell, service, support and scale our OpenShift Virtualization solutions;

What you will bring:

  • 5+ Years of experience in a solution architect, enterprise architect or consultant role related to the delivery of infrastructure and cloud solutions;

  • Knowledge of RHEL, OpenShift and virtualization technologies for application deployment and operations like VMware vSphere, KVM, etc.;

  • Solid background in customer engagements with either a major consulting services organization or within a services division of a major software company;

  • Proven ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams and across the EMEA region;

  • Trustworthy team player with a creative, positive and innovative mindset;

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

One or more of the following is a plus:

  • Proven technical implementation and design experience in any of the following technical specializations, with recognised certifications where available: Storage, Automation, Virtualization, Security;

  • Experience with Open Practices.
