In this opportunity as a Manager, Risk Partnering, you will be supporting business stakeholders in decision-making by providing them with timely and relevant information to maximize value and minimize the risk associated with strategy and go-to-market activities.

About the Role
In this opportunity as Manager, Risk Partnering, you will:

  • Support Director, Risk Partnering with independently reviewing and challenging risk mitigation efforts across the relevant segments you will support  
  • Work closely with members of the broader Risk & Compliance, Government Go-to-Market & Product teams to further strengthen the Firm's risk management practices and drive enterprise framework adoption.    
  • Oversee the integration of the ERM Framework within the functions and segments you support (e.g. Business Segment), facilitating key risk activities by implementing consistent, regular, and repeatable processes e.g. risk assessments.    
  • Support the business in developing reporting and processes as it transforms towards a new strategic vision helping TR make risk informed decisions that minimize risks while maximizing opportunities for growth and success. 
  • Perform external scanning & consult with industry experts to stay on top of emerging risks.   
  • Supplying risk management training to the 1st line to ensure there is the right level of understanding of risk management theory and application. 
  • Providing independent review & challenge of risk & issues registers to ensure all material risks have been identified and managed according to risk appetite and tolerance. 
  • Support with risk assessments, key initiatives and/or projects in alignment to Enterprise Risk Management Office. 
  • Develop and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and subject matter experts within and outside the organization.   

About You

You're a fit for the role of Manager, Risk Partnering if your background includes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Technology or related field    
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in risk management, consulting and/or advisory. Experience in a similar capacity within the Technology industry or in Technology Sales and/or knowledge of doing business with the US Government an asset. 
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments, developing risk mitigation strategies, and implementing risk management frameworks. Relevant professional certification (CPA, CRM or equivalent) preferred but not required.  
  • Strategic thinking: ability to think critically, analyze complex problems and develop strategic plans to mitigate risks and leverage partnerships effectively. Proven track record in strategic risk advisory and partnership development roles  
  • Demonstrate ability to stay abreast of industry trends and adapt strategies accordingly. Willingness to embrace innovation and explore new opportunities in industry. 
  • Sound and practical knowledge of enterprise risk management principles, methodologies, and best practices.  
  • Problem solving, analysis, judgment, analytical skills, experience with developing quantitative risk models.  
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to convey complex concepts and ideas in clear and concise manner. Experience in delivering compelling presentations & reporting to senior executives and external stakeholders. 
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced team environment.  
  • Interpersonal savvy (listening skills and empathy, strong written and presentation skills).
