Your Impact

 Cerence is looking for an experienced, hands-on, and solution-oriented accounting manager to be responsible for the Greater China entities (including Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong) . The Accounting Manager will manage a set of accounting activities to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies and external audits, tasks around the monthly and quarterly closing process, and ensuring the timely and accurate completion of account analysis, account reconciliations, and various reporting requirements. He/she should have strong communication and management skills and be highly organized and experienced at solving accounting related issues.

Your tasks

  • Managing and supervising the daily operations of the Greater China finance department and accounting services.
  • Managing the monthly financial close process, account reconciliation process and (variance) analysis reports.
  • Statutory reporting in line with local Chinese GAAP
  • Communicating and coordinating with internal teams to deliver results.
  • Cooperate with external auditors to ensure successful financial and tax audits and to ensure compliance.
  • Improving systems and procedures for financial reporting and controls.
  • Coordination with Corporate Finance & Accounting team.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience with accounting, Finance, or related areas.
  • 3+ years of experience as an accounting manager or team leader.
  • Very good English written and verbal skills.
  • Excellent and respectful interpersonal communication skills (Team player)
  • Excellent leadership skills with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Be able to work efficiently under time pressure.
  • Good skills in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint as well as Accounting ERP systems (preferably Workday/Blackline).
  • Financial analytics experience.
  • Understanding of local Accounting Standards/GAAP and/or US GAAP.
  • Experience in audit and/or SOX controls is preferred.
