As a Clinical Training Partner, you'll play a vital role in providing clinical training and education opportunities to our team members across the organization. You'll work closely with program/department supervisors, directors, regional leaders, and executive leaders to assess learning and development needs and design effective training solutions. Brightli serves as an expert in behavioral health care and provides clinical training and education opportunities, both internally and externally.  The Clinical Training Partner will assist with the coordination and facilitation of system-wide operational and clinical trainings, best practice standards of care, and required departmental trainings.  This role will work collaboratively across clinical departments as well as with HR, Clinical Training, Credentialing, and Compliance to assess training needs and ensure clinical and operational competence as well as understanding of EHR implications. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Training Needs Assessment:
    • Assess learning and development needs across the organization to drive training initiatives using diversified assessment tools.
    • Collaborate with program/department supervisors, directors, regional leaders, and executive leaders.
  • Training Solutions:
    • Identify and arrange suitable training solutions for associates based on assessment data and system feedback.
    • Assist with clinical training needs during new hire orientation and support HR, Compliance, and program leaders with clinical training needs for individuals or teams.
  • Data Management:
    • Enter and manage clinical training activities and associated data (dates, times, topics, participants, funding sources) in respective databases.
  • Training Design and Implementation:
    • Research, design, and implement effective training methods to enhance employee knowledge, effectiveness, and performance.
    • Develop, create, edit, and review educational and training materials for internal and external audiences.
  • Budget and Resources:
    • Identify budgetary needs and collaborate with the supervisor on requests prior to purchase.
    • Maintain the training calendar and resource library.
  • Communication and Coordination:
    • Manage the training email account, including responding to questions, performing task requests, sending communications, and referring individuals to appropriate contacts.
    • Coordinate and disseminate training opportunities for departments across all regions.
  • Collaboration and Consultation:
    • Participate in departmental, regional, or executive meetings as directed by the Director of Clinical Education and Consultation.
    • Visit assigned locations within the Brightli network to form relationships, provide consultation, and assess training needs.
    • Collaborate with trainers throughout the organization and coordinate existing staff expertise to identify opportunities for collaboration and consultation.
  • Content Development:
    • Develop and maintain training materials (newsletters, articles, course content, visual charts/graphics, videos, slides) utilizing approved branding.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Assist with internal audits and reviews of clinical training offerings and maintain a database of Brightli clinical and operational trainings and presenters to ensure quality standards.
  • Performance Monitoring:
    • Develop and monitor clinical training data (effectiveness, volume, satisfaction) and metrics to understand the impact on employee retention and culture.
    • Assist with monitoring, evaluating, and facilitating Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) training opportunities.
  • Best Practices:
    • Partner with operational leadership, Human Resources, and Clinical Training on best practices and agency initiatives.
    • Maintain an understanding of clinical best practices and assist program leadership in developing training opportunities.
  • Training Delivery:
    • Provide internal and external trainings as necessary and appropriate.
    • Demonstrate interest in short-term and long-term goals and objectives of the system.
  • Other Duties:
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical Training and Consultation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Experience and Education Qualifications:

  • Must have a Master’s Degree in mental health or a closely related field
  • Provisionally licensed or fully licensed candidates preferred. (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or other closely related clinical license.)
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories strongly preferred.

Employment Requirements:

  • Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record and abuse/neglect.
  • Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.
  • All training requirements including Relias Learning at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.
  • Completion of any trainer certifications relevant to clinical training and assigned by the Director of Clinical Training and Consultation, required within 3 months of the request.
  • Valid driver’s license in state of residency and an acceptable driving record is required.

Physical Requirements:

ADA Consideration - Sedentary work:  Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (exists up the 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (exists 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.  Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
