Responsible for performing end-to-end payroll duties for Thomson Reuters, United Kingdom and Ireland. This role requires providing high-quality service to our customers and partner groups, including employees, outsourced vendors, local authorities, finance, and HR teams. The primary focus is to ensure payroll is processed accurately and timely, ensuring the delivery of payroll to Thomson Reuters employees. The role also involves the timely payment of statutory dues and the filing of returns. The ideal candidate will maintain a continuous improvement mindset and implement improvements on an ongoing basis.
About the Role:
Validate Workday interface and change reports to ensure the accuracy of information passed for payroll processing.
Collate non-Workday payroll data and send it to the payroll vendor in the prescribed format for processing.
Process IA Payroll as per instructions from internal teams and 3rd party provider.
Review payroll data processed by the payroll vendor to ensure accuracy.
Perform payroll controls to ensure the accuracy of payroll reports.
Manage payroll authorization and ensure timely payment to employees.
Ensure timely submission of GL files for posting.
Provide support to the accounting team for payroll accounting and reconciliations.
Ensure adherence to statutory compliance, including timely statutory filings and payments to authorities.
Provide support during internal and statutory audits.
Respond to employee payroll queries promptly and accurately.
Manage year-end statutory filings and closure activities.
Participate in payroll-related projects.
Perform ad-hoc activities related to payroll.
Assist the manager/team leader in projects and other payroll-related tasks.
Utilize AI/ML tools to enhance payroll data accuracy and efficiency.
Analyze payroll data using advanced analytics techniques to identify trends and anomalies.
Participate in the development and deployment of payroll automation projects.
About You:
Necessary industry experience & associated number of years of experience.
Minimum 4+ years of experience in processing UK payroll.
Advanced knowledge of UK payroll and legislation.
Experience in processing Ireland payroll will be an advantage.
Understanding of payroll accounting entries.
Education - Commerce Graduate
The role requires the candidate to work from 11am - 8pm IST.
Good problem-solving skills, written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage the workload and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Drive & self-motivation with the ability to work independently.
Proven ability to form strong customer relationships, an understanding of customer focus and service delivery.
Exposure to Cloudpay and Workday systems will be an added advantage.
Proven skills in developing and deploying automation solutions to optimize payroll processes.
Experience with AI/ML tools would be an added advantage
Ability to analyze large datasets to derive insights and improve payroll accuracy and efficiency.
