The Solution Development Consultant - ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) and Sustainability is a key member of Workiva's Growth Solution team. The Growth Solutions team helps create innovative solutions on the Workiva platform that drive commercial growth and customer satisfaction. This team focuses on exploring new markets, designing and refining solutions, and establishing best practices for incubated solutions at Workiva.
As part of Workiva's Growth Solutions team, the Solution Development Consultant is at the forefront of defining new solutions on the Workiva platform. This role is focused on exploring new markets, ideating and iterating on solution design, and defining the best practice for all selected new solutions or use cases on our platform.
The Solution Development Consultant supports the process of incubating new solutions and use cases cross functionally. Together with other global, internal teams including sales, solution engineering, product, technical solutioning, marketing and the services organization, the Solution Development Consultant is committed to develop best-in-class solutions on the Workiva platform.
What You’ll Do
Organize, ideate and iterate on Software Solution Architecture - utilize existing and new Workiva platform functionality to develop new applications of our platform under direction of our Senior Solution Development Consultants
Proactively engage with Product Development teams - draft requirements, iterate on new Workiva platform functionality and field test with clients
Produce Documentation & Training assets - enable our internal services teams, external partners and clients to implement new solutions with consistent quality
Directly interface with our clients and partners to provide Delivery Oversight - support and enable our internal services teams as well as external partners in delivering the new solutions to our clients
Engage in selected Pre-sales Engagements - work directly with prospects to field-test solution design and set accurate expectations about the delivery process
Maintain and enhance knowledge of processes related to the solution in incubation through a commitment to ongoing self-guided or Workiva provided training
What You’ll Need
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of related experience in a client-facing role in software implementation, service delivery management consulting or similar
Undergraduate degree or equivalent years of career knowledge and experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with analytics and reporting solutions (financial and/or non-financial) and their related technology platforms
Hands on experience within the complex software platforms, SaaS and cloud technologies, or data architectures
Experience working with external Implementation Partners
Enhanced technology knowledge of the Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Familiarity with SQL, JSON, REST, or Python is a plus
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent presentation skills - ability to present topics clearly and succinctly to various audiences - both internally and externally
Self-motivated with strong propensity for action, results and continuous improvement
Ability to influence and drive change in business processes
Intellectual curiosity to positively impact the ability to manage multiple projects, programs, and processes
Demonstrated ability to curate and maintain customer-first relationships
Travel Requirements & Working Conditions
Up to 25% travel for customer and internal meetings
Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely and not in a Workiva office
