About the Role

The incumbent will deliver business objectives through strategic planning and execution support. The role will support the development of long, mid and short-term organizational strategies. The incumbent will be responsible for communicating findings, projections and recommendations to all key collaborators. Contributes significantly to the delivery of Company initiatives through reporting, analytics involvement, and insights. Planning, execution support and reporting of Agency strategic projects. Identify gaps and implementation risk of recommended initiatives

  • Articulate and communicate thinking through good presentation format and skills.
  • Produce quality presentation material for management presentation to management team, AIA business units and Group Office.
  • Responsible to support the entire aspects of business planning activities for Agency Distribution division.
  • Review and enhance planning and reporting work procedures in Agency Distribution.
  • Initiate planning activities and supports execution of Agency Distribution's strategic initiatives (Next Gen Agency Team).
  • Understand gaps and problem statement on Agency business and propose solutioning.
  • Responsible for design of business intelligence dashboard to ensure that it is effective and significant to the audience.
  • Proactively collaborate and follow-up on Agency Distribution's strategic initiatives and Group Impact Projects.
  • Attend to any ad-hoc functions/projects assigned by management or direct Manager.
  • Undertake research and analytic tasks and ensure quality results and recommendations.
  • Supports business benefits calculation for Technology and Digital related initiatives.
  • Provide periodic reports and updates to Agency Distribution’s management team for review, discussion, and action planning purposes.
  • Prepare and consolidate key performance indicator results for management reporting.
  • Monthly business performance commentary preparation.
  • Handles enquiry and feedback from Agency Executive team, Business Planning team and Management.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Tertiary qualification from accredited university in any fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in any industry related to business management and strategic planning. Preferably with experience from Financial Services / Insurance industry.
  • Good communication skills (oral and written) – English.
  • With self-initiative, ability in critical thinking, resourceful, able to work independently, and willingness to learn.
  • Knowledge and ability in utilizing advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint; and have analytics skills. 
  • Meticulous and sensitive to numbers and business environment.
  • Able to collaborate with other teams to drive positive outcome.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and adaptable to various challenging demands.
  • Able to work under pressure and prescribed timelines with minimum supervision.
  • Project management skills would have added advantage.
  • Able to generate new insights, conceptualize and implement to achieve results. This includes the ability to think creatively with proven critical thinking capability.
