We are seeking an HR Student to become part of our Talent Acquisition & Onboarding team. As an ambassador of our company culture, you will deliver an outstanding onboarding and orientation experience, implement talent acquisition strategies, and learn about the Human Resources function in our strong and proudly Canadian energy company. Your professionalism and positive attitude will directly impact the experience of Suncor's candidates and new hires.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current enrollment in post-secondary studies; you must be returning to full-time studies after the work term

  • Excellent facilitation skills for in-person and virtual sessions

  • Strong computer skills

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, organize, and facilitate new hire orientation (virtual or in-person)

  • Assist recruiters with candidate management

  • Prepare for career fairs attended by Suncor delegates

  • Provide effective onboarding guidance and support to leaders and employees

Location and other Key Details: 

  • This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W. 

  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday

  • This is a temporary position for a period of 4 or 8 months, beginning in January 2025
