Accounting Industrial Work Placement July 2025

Our full-time, 12 month structured work placement offers valuable insight into the alternative assets industry. Get a head start in your career through an internship with Aztec and explore the world of work in a diverse and supportive environment. We’re always looking for new talent, and this programme will introduce you to the Aztec world in financial services and open the door to future career opportunities. There's also opportunity to study for the Certificate in Fund Administration with us, fully supported by our in-house learning & development team, Aztec Academy.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop core business skills including soft skills and technical training
  • Gain hands-on experience to day-to-day fund accounting/administration operations
  • Build additional knowledge in the bookkeeping and administration of funds and fund structures
  • Follow a structured training programme, designed by our Aztec Academy and supported by experienced colleagues
  • Opportunity to gain additional relevant qualifications during your internship
  • Introduction to clients and stakeholder management
  • Exposure and training on our IT systems  
  • Understand the importance and management of risk
  • Gain insight into our high touch, high tech approach to client service 
  • Take part in networking, meetings and social events
  • Expand your understanding of our career opportunities to support your future career goals

What we're looking for

  • Studying a relevant Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or other relevant subject
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Confident communication skills to engage with colleagues and clients
  • Ability to prioritise and manage your own workload  
  • A desire to learn and curious nature  
  • Good attention to detail and written skills
  • A team player who is willing to get stuck in, work hard and have fun!
