Summary   

You will participate in the development and testing of our tax import/export products using in-house development tools.  In this role, you will analyze tax law and tax software changes to make corresponding import products.  It will require working closely with other internal teams including tax accountants and customer support.  You will be responsible for updating internal databases with tax changes, deploying new files to various network locations and testing the changes by using the tax software.  As a Tax Analyst, you will work with multiple tax entity types and with several different products and file types including CSV, XML, JSON, and Excel spreadsheets.    

About the Role:

  • Communicate with other internal teams to stay current on tax application changes 

  • Monitor tax application databases to identify changes and make the corresponding changes to the import products 

  • Understand tax data structure including data types, required fields, levels, and groups  

  • Write program requirements for software engineers 

  • Test software products 

  • With content strategists, create help documentation content for import products 

  • Monitor customer support Azure tickets and respond timely 

  • Provide phone support to customers on an as-needed basis 

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Data Analytics, Finance, Information Technology, or equivalent degree  

  • Up to 2 years of recent tax preparation experience or experience providing technical support to end users of tax software 

  • Strong communication and computer skills 

  • Desired Experience 

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) 

  • Enrolled Agent (EA) 

  • Up to two years of tax preparation experience
