Position: Engineer - Design & Development

Qualification: B.E - Mechanical (2 to 4 years)

Job Description:

Energetic Mechanical Engineer with an experience range between 4 to 6 years in the field of design and development of injection molding machines, extrusion machines, blow molding machines or sub system design and development involving heavy fabricated structures, forging, casting etc.

Exposure in Plastic industry is highly preferred for this requirement as this job tasks include a variety of direct tasks or systems focused on specific standard tasks without supervisory approval. Engineer will need the ability to recognize and solve typical problems, manages own workload with periodic guidance under moderate supervision.

Requirements:

  • Experience in end-to-end product design and development of Injection molding machines/ Extrusion Machines/Blow Molding machines.
  • Concept design, design calculations (Machine design/bending/torsion), material selection and knowledge about heat treatment process. 
  • Good Exposure to sub systems like gearbox’s, cooling systems and automation systems.
  • Customization of Standard and New machines with variant configuration, Competitor product analysis / Bench marking.  
  • Design and develop complex pieces of equipment such as Screws, twin screws, manifolds, and precise equipment’s like, tie bars, cylinders and valves with problem solving skills.
  • Experience in selection of machine elements like cylinders, bearings, LM Guides, couplings, servo motors, hydraulic pumps, rotary unions etc.
  • Reverse engineering, design optimization for cost reduction and DFMEA.
  • Knowledge about SPI/Euro map standards in design and development of injection molding machines.
  • Good knowledge in manufacturing process such as casting, heavy fabrication and light fabrication, welding, and machine operations.
  • Experience in sheet metal design and specifications.
  • Extensive knowledge of GD & T, welding symbols, surface finish, Tolerance stack up, limits and fits Hands on Knowledge in Continuous Improvement and Value Analysis & Value Eng. (VA&VE)
  • Creating detailed drawings (Part drawings, Assembly drawings and GA drawings) Creating BOM for the entire machine.
  • Knowledge about hydraulic piping’s and fitting selection.
  • Knowledge about DIN, ISO, ANSI, ASME, SPI and Euromap standards.
