Job Description

Sr. Equipment Engineer - Facilities

Position Location: Albany, NY

Description:

Individual would be trained to and become responsible to plan and coordinate the installation or modification of Semiconductor processing equipment and research equipment. Including the review of safety documentation and compliance, communication with OEM, OPM, and vendors to define installation and facilities requirements and configurations. Generate cutsheets for facilities packages and complete any required permit paperwork.  Review and approve design packages. Order parts, review contractor bid packages for accuracy and cost efficiency, oversee construction, track progress and verify it was completed to specification. Troubleshoot equipment facilities issues using structured problem solving.  Work with site EHS, TGMS group, and Facilities Engineering teams on all aspects of tool install and continuous maintenance.

Requirements 

  • BS in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or comparable military or work experience. 

  • At least six years of related work experience

  • Ability to read Engineering and Construction and drawings. 

  • Ability to read and update Project Management milestones and tasks in a timely manner 

  • Demonstrated Electrical and Mechanical aptitude. 

  • Interpersonal skills/good communication 

  • Personal initiative 

  • Able to work at, around, and on top of equipment in a Construction environment 

  • Able to work in a Cleanroom 

  • Able to work on feet up to 8 hours each day 

  

Strongly Prefer experience in the following areas: 

  • Safety requirements (NRTL, OSHA, S2, Etc) 

  • Installation or Operation of facilities equipment (Pumps, Chillers, electrical and controls) 

  • Design or Construction 

  • Equipment repair 

  • Ability to read Construction drawings and use CAD 

Physical Demands and Work ConditionsThe physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 35 pounds. This position also requires 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard.

Salary Ranges

Individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, relevant education, certifications, and/or training.  In addition to base salary, we offer (full time regular employees ) a comprehensive benefits package and for certain roles eligibility in our bonus plan and long-term incentives as applicable.  The talent advisor can share more details about total compensation for the role in your location during the hiring process.
