The Health Missions Solution currently has an opening for an Azure Cloud Administrator (Staging Lab Development) to support the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) on the Next Generation IT Services (NGITS) contract. The Azure Cloud Administrator will support the HHS enterprise by overseeing day-to-day operations of the staging Azure tenant as well as Microsoft 365 Government Community Cloud (GCC) Software as a Service (SAAS) offerings. This position has diverse responsibilities spanning various aspects of Azure cloud management, as well as customer support to enable development, testing and production readiness for integrated cloud solutions.

Be a US Citizen or US Person with the ability to obtain a Public Trust level 5 clearance

Be local to the DC Metro area for partial onsite work if needed

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage Azure Subscription including provisioning and managing subscription resources, monitoring usage and enforcing governance policies to ensure compliance and cost control.
  • Provide resource management by performing tasks with provisioning, configuring and managing Azure resources such as virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking components.  This includes creating resource groups, configuring access controls and optimizing resource utilization.
  • Manage access to HHS GCC staging lab offering including but not limited to: Entra ID, Exchange Online, Intune, Teams, and Power Platform.
  • Implement security best practices for securing Azure/Microsoft 365 cloud services.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams, developers and stakeholders to understand requirements, provide technical guidance and support for the adoption and testing of Azure Services in the HHS Staging Lab environment.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent and 8+ years of related experience.
  • Technical proficiency configuring and managing Azure resources utilizing standard tools such as Azure Administration Portal, Azure CLI, Microsoft Graph and PowerShell, and ARM templates.
  • Hands-on experience managing resources, monitoring usage and enforcing governance policies to ensure compliance and cost control.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure services and Microsoft 365 offerings (Power Platform PowerApps Development), specifically with regards to Entra ID, Security configuration, Azure subscription management, and Azure management tools.
  • Proficiency in implementing security best practices for securing Azure/Microsoft 365 cloud services.
  • Exposure or experience working with cross-functional teams.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior experience support HHS or similar agencies.
  • Relevant certifications in Azure Administration (Fundamentals, Administrator, Administrative Associate, Administrator/Developer Associate) strongly desired.
  • Relevant certification in Power Platform (Fundamentals, Associate, Developer, Architect), preferred.
  • Azure Development experience a plus.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
