Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Government Operations Specialist (Experienced or Senior) to join their team. This exciting opportunity will be part of the Government Operations (Gov Ops) team in North Charleston, SC. This position supports Boeing’s external engagement across the state of South Carolina.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and have a willingness to learn while being able to work independently with little supervision. Excellent organizational skills and an interest in community outreach and employee engagement is preferred.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides high-level administrative support to Gov Ops team which will include calendar management, information management, meeting coordination, task prioritization, travel arrangements if needed, and other administrative needs to enhance the productivity and effectiveness of executive leadership and the team
  • Coordinates logistics and provides support for VIP-level visits, tours and events (e.g., scheduling, catering, Information Technology (IT), badging, security, developing invitations, agendas and other collateral materials, tracking RSVPs, etc.)
  • Manages the communications, distribution process and teammate inquiries for all ticket giveaways for Boeing-sponsored events
  • Processes all Boeing South Carolina (BSC) site sponsorships and Government Operations sponsorships and memberships
  • Communications and implementation support for annual site-wide charitable drives
  • Provides administrative support for all state-wide Boeing Days, responsible for working with Boeing Executive Focal and Regional Workforce Advisors to schedule events, develop objectives and agendas specific to each region, logistical details, presentations and support coordination for all events (also time-intensive, detailed process when in season)
  • Supports a variety of events (on-site and external) and committees as Gov Ops focal as assigned
  • Takes on and supports special projects
  • Responsible for scheduling and conducting tours for community auction winners and other visitors as needed
  • Manages Gov Ops / BGE contact database (elected officials, community partners, etc.)
  • Responsible for content and updates for Site Integration wall
  • Participates in and provides updates on weekly site events calls
  • Supports education outreach through DreamLearners and Speakers Bureau
  • Manages and regularly updates the Boeing Global Engagement (BGE) SC inSite page
  • Supports flexible hours, with occasional nights and weekends to attend external events

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience providing direct administrative support to an organization
  • 3+ years of experience developing and managing strong relationships with partners (internal and external), government and community customers, and representatives
  • Experience supporting event-type logistics
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor degree or higher
  • Experience in Government, Public Affairs and/or Issue Advocacy
  • Experience working with non-profit organizations and/or at community engagements
  • Experience in event planning (i.e. scheduling conference rooms, working with caterers and coordinating and corresponding with internal and external customers)
  • Experience in State and Federal government
  • Experience making domestic and/or international travel arrangements and generating expense reports

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range Experienced (Level 3): $83,300 - $112,700

Summary pay range Senior (Level 4): $115,600 - $156,400
