About This Opportunity 

We are looking for a casual Kitchenhand to join our culinary team at Patina at Alumni Court, St Lucia. This role is to support the efficient running of the Kitchen and support the kitchen team to deliver quality meals in a timely manner. The Kitchenhand is responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and supporting in kitchen preparation tasks.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain cleanliness of food preparation areas.

  • Clean kitchen equipment and appliances.

  • Clean benchtops, floors, ovens, and ranges.

  • Receive, lift, handle and store food and stock deliveries.

  • Retrieve food items as requested by chef team.

  • Assist with food preparation.

  • Wash dishes, pots, and utensils.

About You  

  • Previous experience in a Kitchen environment or similar.

  • Knowledge of Kitchen operations or qualification related to Kitchen operations.

  • Successful completion of an accredited ‘Hygiene for Food Handlers’ course is desirable.

  • Commitment to high levels of personal and workspace hygiene and cleanliness.

  • Excellent organisation and customer service skills.

  • Demonstratable interpersonal and communication skills with a can-do attitude to what can be a physically demanding team environment.

  • Ability to work flexible hours and weekends (when required).

The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia, criminal check, education check etc.
