About the Team
The Strategic Communications team within Walmart Global Tech is focused on delivering impactful communications to drive our organization’s strategy forward. Our team includes visual designers, motion designers, copywriters, technical writers, and UX writers who collaborate closely to bring stories and ideas to life. From developing standout executive presentations to immersive associate engagement programs and digital products, our designers are at the forefront of shaping the visual identity and branding for a wide range of high-impact projects.

What you will do:

  • Work closely with designers, copywriters, product managers, marketers, and other cross-functional partners to evolve brand design systems and create engaging experiences for our partners, customers, and associates

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help shape the evolution of the brands, voice, and strategy

  • Help define, evolve, and document flexible design systems in our internal/external communications and products

  • Design unique brand identities for associate engagement programs, webpages, email campaigns, marketing collateral, environmental graphics, social, and applications

  • Create captivating and professionally branded presentations that help leadership, partners, and product owners effectively present ideas and products

  • Create and manage asset libraries for reusable, systematic presentation design

  • Design webpages, email campaigns, marketing collateral, environmental graphics, display ads, social, and applications

  • Elevate and bring a level of polish across the designs we develop for our customers and associates by creating intuitive and delightful deliverables in a variety of channels

  • Inspire, create, and sustain a culture of excellence by helping to develop, guide best practices, and design processes that enable agility and support smooth cross-functional collaboration

What you will bring:

  • Have 6+ years of experience (either working for in-house creative teams or agencies)

  • Have a design portfolio with brand, product, web design, presentation, and illustration work showing projects you’ve worked on and led

  • Are a natural collaborator and strong communicator who thrives in ambiguity, adapts quickly to changes, manages time efficiently, and excels in fast-paced environments, sharing work early and frequently while inspiring peers and articulating design decisions effectively

  • Are proficient in Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator), and Microsoft Office Suite (specifically PowerPoint and Word)

  • Are humble, respectful, and value team success over personal success

  • Have demonstrated experience creating and upholding brand design systems across platforms

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 3 years’ experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area. Option 2: 5 years’ experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.
