The Office of the CEO maximizes the impact of the CEO and takes Salesforce to the next level of growth, relevancy, and success by driving alignment and focused execution of CEO priorities and the V2MOM across product, distribution, and horizontal teams.

Within this team, the Board of Directors program manager serves as the primary, centralized operational lead for board members and internal stakeholders. This role will work closely with senior leadership, CEO strategic advisors, and engagement and operations teams. This program manager reports to the Director of Planning & Operations in the Office of the CEO.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and evolve the engagement strategy for our Board of Directors
  • Establish and track key timelines, protocols, communication cadence, and chair-related meeting sequences and interdependencies applicable to the board and board committees
  • Build and maintain playbooks for all board commitments
  • Understand remits, duties, composition, and operation of the board committees
  • Coordinate closely with Office of the CEO, Office of Corporate Secretary/Legal, and Communications on any matters related to operational board support
  • Track and maintain board members’ up-to-date contact information, capabilities, schedules, staffing, and needs to enable the highest level of operational support
  • Educate, raise awareness with, and maintain strong relationships with Chiefs of Staff and EAs of the board, Office of the CEO, Office of Corporate Secretary/Legal, ELT, Section 16 officers, and other key officers to ensure coordination and alignment
  • Provide briefings of all board interactions and board-related matters to applicable leaders in the Office of the CEO, the Corporate Secretary, General Counsel, and Chief Legal Officer
  • Brief the board on the latest developments at Salesforce, including product, customer, philanthropic, and industry updates
  • Build and maintain BoD corporate travel policy
  • Maintain highest levels of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality regarding all board matters
  • Travel, as needed, to Salesforce events to provide operational support to board members

Required Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing communications, enablement, executive engagement, and program management; MBA preferred
  • Hybrid in-office (3+ days/week) mandatory and subject to change
  • San Francisco, New York, or Austin preferred

Preferred Experience

  • Excellent written communication, including but not limited to emails, decks, briefs
  • Outstanding track record driving complex initiatives, involving executive and cross-functional stakeholders, from concept to completion

For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $164,000 to $225,500.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $164,000 to $225,500.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
