We’re seeking an experienced and driven SSA Trader (Director – Fixed Income Trading) to join our dynamic Fixed Income & Currency (FIC) Trading Desk

This role is pivotal in market-making, risk management, and client engagement across a diverse range of fixed income products and derivatives with primary focus on AUD SSAs.

You’ll be part of a team known for its reliability and resilience in liquidity provisioning, even during challenging market conditions. Your impact will be felt through pricing, risk management, and strategic growth of our business and global SSA book.

What You’ll Do:

• Trade and manage risk across fixed income products to meet revenue targets.
• Price and manage risk for multiple portfolios, supporting team members.
• Enhance pricing, analytics, and infrastructure using your quantitative and programming skills.
• Expand e-trading and e-delivery capabilities.
• Collaborate with domestic and offshore stakeholders to drive business development.
• Maintain sound risk practices and compliance.
• Stay ahead of market trends and respond proactively to client needs.
• Champion continuous improvement across products, people, and processes.

What You’ll Bring:

• Relevant experience on global trading desks.
• Strong quantitative background and programming proficiency (Python, Java, or C preferred).
• Proven revenue generation and risk management capabilities.
• Deep understanding of global financial markets and products.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or Computer Science would be highly regarded.
