Are you ready to elevate your career? Join our dynamic team at Caterpillar’s Construction Industries Procurement division (EXD) as a Senior Manager, Facility Procurement! In this role, you will act as the relationship manager for all procurement activities, collaborating with business partners and suppliers to resolve facility-specific supplier issues. You will provide leadership to a global team of procurement professionals supporting our facilities in Brooklyn Park, MN, North Little Rock, AR, and Minerbio, Italy. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that manufacturing, product supply, and category supply strategies are fully understood and integrated into facility strategies. Additionally, you will partner with procurement and logistics professionals to develop, optimize, and integrate a world-class supply network, creating a competitive advantage for our customers and the enterprise.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the designed supply network and procurement related activities for the facilities as the Earthmoving Supply Management representative and the primary contact for the local leaders.

  • Work with your team to deliver best in class facility procurement PQVC (People, Quality, Velocity and Cost) results.

  • Plan, organize, staff, direct, and control the integration and relationship between procurement and the local facility.

  • Deliver a lean, responsive, resilient material and services flow for the facility from source to dock and additional required points.

What you’ll have

  • Extensive experience in Purchasing Tasks and Activities, utilizing in-depth knowledge of policies, regulations, and processes to effectively procure materials, components, equipment, and services.

  • Proven expertise in Team Management, demonstrated through effective use of team-building techniques to form and lead high-performing teams.

  • Extensive experience in Decision Making and Critical Thinking, utilizing effective processes, tools, and techniques to accurately analyze situations and make informed, productive decisions.

  • Expertise in Managing Multiple Priorities, where you’ve leveraged effective self-management practices to handle concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, and making sound judgments on prioritization and time allocation.

Top candidates will also bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university

  • Direct experience in supply chain/purchasing/manufacturing experience.

  • Strong relationship building and collaboration skills.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Strong leadership skills including the demonstrated ability to lead leaders.

  • This position is located in Peoria, IL

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

  • 25% domestic and international travel can be expected.

Summary Pay Range:

$165,960.00 - $248,880.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
